CEECC Conamara Sea Week 2009

Babette’s Feast Conamara Style.

The Parish Dinner.

The Parish Dinner which takes place in Renvyle House Hotel on Sunday October 18th at 8.30pm will be the highlight of this year's Conamara Sea
Week. This is a special year as it is the 25th year of the festival and this night promises to be a very special community event embracing a broad
spectrum of ages.

A unique occasion for friends and neighbours to get together, break bread, and enjoy each others company. The stylish buffet prepared by award
winning chef Tim O’Sullivan and his team will celebrate local produce such as Conamara Lamb and Conamara Mussels etc. It will showcase local food
produce and make everybody aware of the fine food that is available in Conamara - a warm friendly Conamara style night reminiscent of the
harvest celebrations of earlier times.

The night will also feature the launch of our new CD ‘An Cosán Draíochta’ – The Magic Path, celebrating 25 years of Conamara Bog Week and Sea
Week. Musicians such as Johnny Connolly, Marcus Hernon, Liz Kane, Marie Walsh, Josephine Marsh, Mick Kinsella, Conor Keane, Sharon Shannon,
Charlie McGettigan and Liam O’Maonlaí, have composed music for the CD and a great scatter of these players will there on the night.

Tunes specially written for the occasion such as The Renvyle Waltz by Conor Keane, The Boat To Bofin Jig by Joanie Madden, The Cramp Island Reel by Josephine Marsh and The Pangur Bán Jig by Liz Kane will be heard on the night and will certainly raise a few hairs on the back of the neck.

This will certainly be a night to remember with brilliant local food, great music, lots of dancing and plenty of space to let the hair down.
Delicious dinner and a double CD for the recession busting price of €45.00 and if you fancy staying the night Ronnie Counihan the genial manager of
Renvyle House is throwing in B&B for €30.00 extra.

Tickets for The Parish Dinner can be obtained from Renvyle House Hotel, Rogans Gala, Letterfrack NS and Joyce’s Clifden.
