Sea Week 06 - Event Details

Weekend One

Fri Oct 20^th – 8.15 p.m. National Park Opening of local artist David Keane’s art exhibition in National Park with lots of music & dance – the official opening by Brendan Flynn teacher/director of Clifden Arts week.

Fri Oct 20^th – 9.30 p.m. Bards Den Pub Oiche Chonamara with Johnny Connolly, Mattie Joe Sheámuis, Johnny Mháirtin Larry with lots of local singers and musicians and Sean nós dancers.

Sat Oct 21^st – 11.30 a.m. Letterfrack N.S. Music workshops
Fiddle – tutor – Liz Kane; Fiddle – tutor – Yvonne Kane; Box - tutor – Maria Walshe; Concertina - tutor – Noel Kenny.

Sat Oct 21^st – 4 p.m. Bards Den Pub Afternoon sessions with Noel Kenny, Maria Walshe, Liz & Yvonne Kane and all the pupils from the workshops.

Sat Oct 21^st – 8.30 p.m. Letterfrack N.S. ‘The Schoolhouse Gig’ –
A great night with Sharon Shannon (box), Jim Murray (guitar) and lots of very special guests. Our young players from the workshop will start the night and what a night it will be! Come early – limited seating {Admission Є10}.

Sun 22^nd – 4.30 p.m. Bards Den Pub Afternoon session with Seámus Heneghan and friends.

Sun 22^nd – 9.30 p.m. Bards Den Pub A great session with Edel Fox, (Concertina – young musician of the year in ’05) and Ronan O’Flaherty (fiddle) and lots of friends.

Weekend Two

Fri 27^th – 9.30 p.m. Bards Den Pub Tommy Carew and the Yahoos direct from the ploughing championship where they stole the show. Lots of guests.

Sat 28^th – Mon 30^th Letterfrack N.S. Conamara Sea Week Conference - "2020 - Imagining the Future"

Sat 28^th – 4.30 p.m. Bards Den Pub The Cork Trio featuring music with Lenny McCarthy (box) Dan Curtin (fiddle) and John Drew (bouzuki).

Sat 28^th – 7.30 p.m. The Monastery Hostel The Hostel Gig – with Conor Keane (box) Maíre Keane (flute) and a great duo who will introduce their new album Kieran Munnelly (flute) and Aiden O Donnell (fiddle) with singer Deirdre Herbert and guests.
Candlelit dinner and concert Є20.

Sun 29^th – 4.30 p.m. Bards Den Pub Afternoon session with the Cork trio and friends.

Sun 29^th – 7.30 p.m. The Monastery Hostel The Hostel Gig with Sean Tyrell –
The Rainbows Treasure a tough exciting show but not suitable for children.

Candlelit dinner and show Є20.
