¨      BOG WEEK (25th May 4th June)

Ten day multi layered festival- celebration of landscape – Conamara Walkabout, Fun Run etc lots of traditional music with the Kane sisters, Mick Kinsella, Dessie O’Halloran, Mary Staunton, Tola Custy etc. Music & dance workshops, art exhibition, schools programme are also part of the week.

 

¨      INISHBOFIN SUMMER SCHOOL (2nd –6th July)

A week long exploration of the wonderful island of Inishbofin   in the company of a multi disciplined team.  Great music and singing on the island

 

¨      SEAWEEK (19th –29th October)

A celebration of our Marine Heritage -  conference, cultural events, book fairs all wrapped in mighty traditional music with such players as Sharon Shannon, Sean Tyrell, Conor Keane, Josephine Marsh etc and lots of local players & singers.

¨      60 MUSIC CLASSES IN SCHOOL TIME

¨      75 MUSIC CLASSES HELD IN OUR SCHOOL – Wed nights – Children/Adults

 

¨      5 MUSIC WORKSHOPS – With

Frank Custy – famous music teacher from County Clare

Kane Sisters - Local players and fine teachers

      Noel Kenny – a wonderful Westport based concertina player/teacher

 

¨      INSTRUMENT BANK Purchase of 4 better quality fiddles, 2 boxes, 1 concertina  - 5 fiddles, 2 boxes, l low whistle, 20 tin whistles, 4 flutes for our Instrument Bank – these instruments are school property and are then rented out for a small fee to the pupils

 

¨      MOL AN OÍGE CONCERT Youth concerts in church of Ireland Clifden takes place on the summer solstice and Winter Solstice featuring local young singers/musicians and dancers
